1. Documented lineage
The single most useful line on any listing is the parentage. “Gelato genetics” is a marketing phrase; “Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint GSC, from a named breeder” is a lineage. 2. Reported data given honestly
- THC as a range, attributed to breeder or seed-bank data. A single round number is a habit, not a measurement.
- Indica/sativa balance as the breeder reports it.
- Named terpenes and an aroma description that matches them.
- Reference data clearly labelled as reported. A UK seller cannot have tested what it describes, so it should say so.
3. Seed type stated clearly
Feminised, autoflowering and regular seeds are genetically different products. Compare packs on price per seed rather than headline price, and think about how many seeds a collection actually needs. 5. Compliance wording
A UK seller that understands its position will say, plainly, that seeds are sold as collectible souvenirs to adults aged 18 and over, and that it offers no germination or cultivation advice. That wording is not a formality. A seller that avoids it either does not understand UK law or is hoping you will not ask, and neither is a good sign for the rest of the listing.
6. Delivery and packaging
Look for a written dispatch and delivery policy rather than promises in the product copy.
